Overview

Fifty years after a Super-8 film shot on New York streets, a white filmmaker reconnects with his two Black collaborators — and the reunion becomes a searching portrait of what it means to be Black in America today.

Directed by Dan Algrant, co-created with Don Wright, and co-produced by Rodcliffe Bruce Sinclair. A meditation on collaboration, memory, and the friendships that survive the country around them.

Cathedrals sits at the center of the studio’s approach: patient documentary work that lets its subjects lead, and lets the film become whatever the truth requires.
